Dreamy Unicorns

I just finished these three Unicorns for a friend in the UK
(they are on 3x4 inch WC cards ~ slightly larger than ATC's)
She sent me a parcel in the mail this week and it was such a lovely surprise !
It brightened up my day - A bunch of her cards in a box and look at that glass bead!

Oh and click any of the pics to go to her site :)

Deerly Embrace

Remember I told you about the swap I was in with Cameron, well...
I finished my painting for her (see above) "Deerly Embrace"
It's Mixed Media on stretched Canvas 8x12
(inks, paints, crayons, pencils, inkpens, pastels, ferns, goldleaf, beeswax) I sure hope she'll like it. I got inspired by the toadstools that started appearing in our garden, it's Fall here now of course. Fairy Tale season and my daughter is certain that we have Fairies in our garden, because we have the toadstools here for them.
I hope they are there too ♥
-This time I wanted to try and see if I could get the painting to speak without painting open eyes-

♥

I also received her parcel this week...tatatata ! I got all excited....
The envelope was already so gorgeous and everything inside was just such a lovely surprise as I unwrapped the yummie green tissuepaper (with sparkly dots) Out came the painting she did for me, but also loads of extra's ! She's such a great artist, look here:

I'm so happy, oh so happy....♫♪♫
Thank you Cameron, you're the best !

This week was busy and messy and we also had another powercut, so this parcel really made me feel great !

Fab Frogs

I have a thing for frogs,
I did one in the 'FrogPrince' and in
'Some day my Prince will come'
so when I saw this swap at atcsforall.com,
I just had to join, now didn't I ?
I feel I can keep going with these heart-throbs (hehe)
I mean, I only did the green guys this time, there are so many more I can do...

Chunkies for a swap

See here 4 Chunkies for a swap with a friend in the States.
The themes we picked were:
1 "My Muse" - 2 " Fairy Tale character"
3 "Antler people" - 4 "Mermaid"
They made it there before Christmas, which was nice for both of us.
Little Christmas present for JoAnn
and peace of mind for me
with all the busy postal activities around this time of year
....and....she loved them :-)

Frida Kahlo meets Coraline

ATCs I made for a swap with my friend Malin.

I know she likes Frida Kahlo

and maybe because Halloween is slowly creeping onto us

or maybe my mind started wandering for a change...

...so Frida met Coraline...

Eskimo Blues

the Eskimo takes a deep breath

and pulls up his hood"

I really like making these little Haiku or Poems with my work now, every time I draw something I find my mind wondering to find words that would go with it.

So this is another combination of ATCs I made for a swap and a little poem to go with them.

Antler Maiden

"Deep in the Forest

I found two peaceful Doe

and captured them with paint"

I have been a bit disturbed by the Earthquake we had Saturday

and we still have aftershocks regularly throughout the day and night.

I try to get some peace and quiet by making my Art

but I am not always succesful with this

it's a creepy experience

I hope a -once in a lifetime thing- only...

Bunny Sisters

These little Stuffies, I made for a swap at atcsforall.com

They are 100 % handmade coffee-stained-cotton, filled with anti-allergic fibrefill

and they are flying to the host as we speak

3 for the swap, one for the host

:-)
