 St Patricks Day and Multicultural Day at the Historic Village today

 I managed to open the doors to the Studio, only just, you don't want to see me now or feel like I feel....but we managed to do it ! Will go to sleep before midnight tonight and try to sleep in a little tomorrow. And then it is back to painting (the NICE kind, the pictures kind :)

Oh and the sign still needs to get up, and I still need to make more for the shop, little things that make a shop look complete.....but all in all, I think we did pretty well.

Speed Sketching and a Dear Deer

Books and Videos

I am so excited ! two new books have arrived ! The one is my annual Art Book, this time the yearbook for 2011

The other one the -slightly delayed- Mermaid book full of art just inspired by Mermaids and of course with little poems, thoughts and stories

Both are now in my Etsy shop (for those of you collecting ;)
 

 and this is one of the up-cycled boxes I hadn't shared before, it is also featured in the book. As with my other boxes, the design is first woodburned in the wood and after that I have put paintwashes and painted details

Introducing - A Portrait - A Challenge

Hehe, I finally did it ! I made a videO !

Now I had a reason, or many reasons for it.

First of all, it had been brewing for a while, I just never had enough courage to start. But somehow this particular question from someone about if and why I had never done a self portrait before (well ....hellOOO ?!!!) set this all in motion. I suddenly thought, what the .. ? I can do this, I don't care what others will think or say and so what, if the portrait is not what I want it to look like or even not what I look like, I had  a good play and same goes for the video. It might not be all THAT, but learning how-to is so much FUN !! I hope you all enjoy it as well. Be BRAVE !!
