I made another little (A5 size) coptic journal to play a bit with ideas, thoughts and mediums. This is the first page: a portrait done with Letraset markers. And a nice quote by J.W.von Goethe

All my kids classes are making journals this term (well I've sewn them up and they fill them ;) I will post some of their progress in the school site HERE

Kakariki

Kakariki means "green" in te reo Māori and since I live here and this little doll is mainly green, nature like and earthy, I thought about naming her Jade or something like that, but Kakariki sounds so much more like her with her long curly lock on her left shoulder and her (allthough they are vague) curly fern-tip like details here and there. So here she is, I like her to bits ♥ she is in my shop if you love her too

Yeah yeah, I know, it's Tuesday the 10th here already, that's me though, working late again...I'm a little Morepork (this is a New Zealand native nightowl, hehe, but I'm "imported" actually, that would make me a what-ya-me-call-it....exotic, haha !) well all this midnight mumbling aside....
The surprise Giveaway is to be revealed...tatatadum...drumroll here...it's a handmade (yes by me !!) journal - I called it "Frog Lover" and it has an assortment of papers inside. There is quick sketch paper, canvas textured paper, black pastel paper and watercolour paper. All for you to enjoy and fill with your thougts. Of course also the two folded cards :) and who knows what I still might stuff in the envelope.....here are some pics ♥

I wrote all the names on pieces of paper, folded them all twice, mixed them around and pulled one out, unfolded this and ..... the lucky winner is .....

Starting small again - Faux Verdigris Aceo

Maybe my block is starting to go away ? Yesterday I managed to make a little ACEO. It's a faux-verdigris Unicorn for a friend, I'll post it today and hope she'll like it. Will get out my paints again too, hopefully my fingers want to listen to my head, hehe. Oh, and I also decided to try and make one of those painted cloth dolls, will need to do some research first though. Any of you have some tips for me?

Love of Nature

Before I do another post with my latest finished painting (...yes it is coming along soon...) I thought to share this little happy thought with you all. Maybe you remember? I did a post not so long ago about ♥ Heart-shaped ♥  Rocks that I found in the riverbeds in the South Island. This time I was taking the kids for a walk in the area we moved to recently and....we found these clovers with ♥ heart shapes in their leaves, just had to photograph them and take some home to put in my flowerpress ! Mother Nature shares her love in unexpected places, I hope I can find them all, it's almost like a treasure-hunt (just didn't manage to find a 4 leaf clover amongst them all, ah well ;)
