~~ She's like a Rainbow ~~

The Rainbow Box

woodburn design and painted in the amazing technicolours of the rainbow. Okay, so I started playing along with Jane Spakowsky's 10 day challenge and thought it would be kinda cool to make me do the 10 paintings in pink hues, since this is a colour I do not often choose. But after 5 of those pink/purple works I needed some other colours....don't get me wrong I like all the colours of the rainbow, I have no issues with any of them, it's just that one seems to get used to using certain colours more often than others. So I made this box....and called her "She's like a Rainbow" thought that was fitting all this thinking about colours I was doing......It's a box with space for 15 paint pottles and brushes and pencils etc. in.It's 23.5x20.5x5.5 cm or 9.25x8x2.25 inch
It is for sale, you can message me here, I will have to check on the postage, but again I have to run now, this week seems so busy, but I will be back this evening..

Somewhere over the Rainbow -by me-

Here's my latest entry I did in my journal. Partially done on the ferry between South and North Island and finished last night at my new home amongst boxes still to be unpacked.... I just had to do something creative, couldn't stand it any longer. The spread in my Moleskine shows a little how I feel at the moment, like jumping in a deep deep pool with my eyes covered and taking a plunge.....where will we end up ? Adventure and excitement, but also uncertain and a bit scary. I need to play art some more, maybe will find a bit of time tonight again.....but will start putting things away first now, finding places for all our stuff....need to get that done as well...

My Muse

Pippi Longstocking or Pippi Långstrump has been my muse, even my alter ego for quite a while. I was Pippi when I was 9 years old and won the first prize on a dress up party (see picture on te right here, yes that is me !) I used to watch Pippi programs and I still love to see them. I never get tired of her adventures and I love her free spirit and her endless positivity. She can take on the world, so at the moment I need some of the same....so here are a couple of Pippi's I have done....just to get me in the mood and then I will put on a DVD and watch some episodes again, channel her joy and gutsiness. TjollaHopp !!
