~~~ My Water Serpents I ~~~ the Klimt Challenge
~ My Water Serpents I ~
Mixed Media on canvas 70x73 cm
initiated by the very  talented Gritty Jane
I was inspired of course by his Mermaid-like "Wasserschlangen"
and then I saw my Kaffe Fassett fabrics and I had to use some of those as well, how fitting they are to Klimt's patterns
I will have to do another Klimt inspired work, I am mesmerised by him at the moment, I got almost all books from the library on him out, funny how that happens
The Murky Waters Nixie
A digital play as preview to my "Murky Waters Nixie"
I will have to photograph her tomorrow with daylight.
I am not an aquarel expert by all means, but I did this one on watercolourpaper with watercolour paint and pencils and then I added inks, stamps, acrylics, glaze, more watercolouir paint and at last some Golden glass bead gel which I covered with some more diluted sparkly paints.
She is my "Halloween" project for this year,
since I am all submerged with the water sprites.....
I had already done some Mermaid paintings and ATC's recently,
but joined Suzi Blu's La Sirena group now as well.
I am so looking forward to this, learning more techniques again
and sharing my stuff with the others and You!
So keep an eye on this spot
